Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: 24 June 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, how we use it, and the rights available to you. In summary, we do not sell your personal data, we do not enable analytics cookies without your consent, and you may use this website in full whether or not you accept them.
Who we are
Consius (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website and is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions about this policy, or wish to exercise your rights, please contact us through our contact form.
The information we collect
Analytics, where you have consented
If you select “Accept” on the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use this website. This includes the pages you view, your approximate location (derived from your IP address), and your device and browser type. We use this information solely to measure overall visitor numbers and referral sources, and we do not use it to identify you personally. If you decline, or do not respond to the banner, no analytics data is collected.
Information you provide to us
If you contact us by email, we will receive your email address, any name you choose to provide, and the contents of your message. We use this information only to respond to and manage your enquiry.
Cookies
We do not set any non-essential cookies until you select “Accept” on the cookie banner. We record your consent choice in your browser so that the request is not repeated; this is strictly necessary and does not track you. Where you provide consent, Google Analytics sets the following cookies:
- _ga: used to distinguish one visitor from another; expires approximately two years after it is set.
- _ga_<id>: used to maintain session state for Google Analytics; expires approximately two years after it is set.
You may withdraw or change your consent at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of this website.
Our lawful bases for processing
- Consent: for analytics cookies and the information collected by Google Analytics. You provide consent by selecting “Accept”, and you may withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interests: for responding to and managing enquiries that you send to us.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal data, nor do we share it with advertisers or data brokers. Google provides our analytics service and acts as our data processor. Google may process and store data on servers outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States; where this occurs, it is subject to appropriate safeguards, such as the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. Our hosting provider may also retain standard server logs, such as IP addresses, in order to deliver and secure the website.
How long we retain information
Google Analytics data is retained for a maximum of 14 months, after which it is deleted automatically. Correspondence is retained only for as long as is necessary to manage your enquiry. You may request deletion of the personal data we hold about you at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you; to have it corrected or erased; to object to or restrict its processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us through our contact form. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the website or to legal requirements. Any changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date shown at the top of this page.
